From time to time I hear about and talk to people that have other activities in the area that sound like a really good time. These events ARE NOT RIVER TOWN RACE SERIES EVENTS, but they do provide varied experiences and coupled with River Towns races, make a great way to spend a weekend in the area.
All these listing will provide contact information. Some will be links, others will have registration sheets available for download. Depends on what the organizer provides me.

This festival is associated with the Tour de Tykes mountain bike race held in Danville PA. The race is part of River Towns, but there is much, much more that weekend. Swimming, music, camping, goofy events, Plan to spend the weekend!

This event is not competitive in the racing sense of the word. In this event, participants are charged with making a unique water craft and then launching it and (maybe) paddling it down the Susquehanna. Points are given or originality only!
